Following its sell-out run at the Old Red Lion, Philip Ridley’s testing drama, Mercury Fur, transfers to the West End.

Set in a capital ravaged by riots and driven by the thirst for hallucinogenic butterflies, Mercury Fur follows two brothers who survive by organising sinister parties that fulfil the darkest fantasies of their depraved clients.

As they prepare for the next party guest, they have to face up to how far they are willing to go and exactly what they will do to save their loved ones.

Since its 2005 premiere, Ridley’s drama has met a great deal of controversy, with the writer’s own publisher refusing to publish the play text.
