Matthew Bourne’s award-winning dance thriller based on Bizet’s popular opera returns to Sadler’s Wells.

Featuring one of the most thrilling and instantly recognisable scores in New Adventures’ repertoire, The Car Man sees a familiar 19th century Spanish cigarette factory become a greasy 1960s American garage-diner where the dreams and passions of a small town are shattered by the arrival of a handsome stranger.

Fuelled by heat and desire, the inhabitants are driven into an unstoppable spiral of greed, lust, betrayal and revenge.

PLEASE NOTE: The Car Man contains scenes of a sexual nature, brief nudity, strobe lighting and gunshots. It is suitable for ages 12 and older.
