Mandy Patinkin, accompanied by pianist Paul Ford, returns to London with his latest solo show, Mandy Patinkin: In Concert, a musical celebration of some of the world’s best-known composers, including Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Randy Newman.
Patinkin began his career in the theatre and received acclaim for his Broadway performances as Che in Evita in 1980 – for which he won a Tony Award – and George in Sunday In The Park With George in 1984. His solo shows include Celebrating Sondheim and Mamaloshen, along with this latest one, Mandy Patinkin: In Concert, all of which have been staged on Broadway.
Also an Emmy-winning screen actor, Patinkin’s credits include the television series Chicago Hope and Criminal Minds, plus films The Princess Bride, Yentl, Ragtime, The Doctor, Alien Nation, Dick Tracy, The House On Carroll Street and True Colours.
Patinkin was last seen in London at the Almeida in 1996, where he presented a cabaret performance.
