A spell-bindingly disastrous evening awaits in Magic Goes Wrong, Mischief Theatre’s latest West End comedy, created with magic legends Penn & Teller!
You’ll have to act fast to conjure up Magic Goes Wrong tickets. The hilarious exploits of Mischief Theatre – the company behind The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery – continue to cause hilarity all around the world. And their latest show, Magic Goes Wrong, promises all sorts of surprises!
Part of Mischief’s year-long residency at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre, Magic Goes Wrong follows on from their new comedy Groan Ups.
The show will see the company play a gang of magicians presenting a charity event. But practice, in their case, may mean significantly less than perfect. And as accidents spiral out of control, so does their fundraising target.
As the previous productions in the Goes Wrong series have illustrated – collecting Olivier and Tony Awards in both the West End and Broadway, as well as being adapted for television – anything hilarious that can happen in Magic Goes Wrong, probably will!
Along with their usual partners, Broadway producer Kevin McCollum and Star Wars pioneer J.J. Abrams will join the Magic Goes Wrong producing team.
Mischief Theatre Company was founded by a group of graduates from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in 2008. Originally cutting their teeth with hit improvised comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, their original scripted work grew and grew in popularity, eventually reaching the West End, Broadway and theatres around the world. The company is led by Artistic Director Henry Lewis and Company Director Jonathan Sayer.
Much of the original Mischief Theatre company are performing in Magic Goes Wrong. Please note, however, that Penn & Teller are co-creators of the show and won’t be appearing on stage.
