Juliette Binoche stars in a brand new production of Strindberg’s classic Mademoiselle Julie.

The scandalous 1888 play, about the daughter of a Count who escapes the strict social impositions of her time through an encounter with a footman, is updated by Frédéric Fisbach to the modern day.  In the process Fisbach highlights how the timeless themes of love, lust and social convention are still as pertinent today.

Through his use of a chorus and striking, contemporary staging Fisbach breathes new life into a classic play.

Mademoiselle Julie is performed in French with English surtitles.

Suitable for ages 14+
