The Barbican brings the world premiere if Lipsynch, the much anticipated latest ensemble work by Robert Lepage.

Lipsynch is an epic nine hour performance which spans 70 years and explores the voice as a compelling metaphor for human expression and interaction. It conjures up a hugely ambitious panorama that links nine lives through many decades, spinning stories that often juxtapose tragedy with slapstick.

The play journeys between war-torn Vienna pre-revolutionary Nicaragua and contemporary London, encountering people who have lost their power of speech.

Lipsynch is performed in French, German, Spanish and English, with English surtitles.

Lipsynch Parts 1, 2, and 3 will be shown together 6, 7, 13, 14 Sep, with four intervals.

Individual parts will be shown over the course of three evenings: part 1 9 Sep, part 2 10 Sep and part 3 11 Sep.
