A ballet of three movements by George Balanchine. Each movement is inspired by a different jewel and has its own distinct flavour. Emeralds, set to the music of Fauré, is dreamy and reflective. Fiery Rubies is energetic and vibrant, and set to Stravinsky. The polished, classical Diamonds uses a Tchaikovsky score.
