A cast of professional lawyers and judges tell the story of a young teacher who, in the summer of 1925, was taken to court for teaching the theory of evolution in a state-funded school. Both defence and prosecution featured star performers, while around two hundred reporters descended on the court. For the first time, news of an American trial was broadcast by radio.
