Sally Dexter stars in the world premiere of James Phillips’ dramatic love story about a refugee who has spent decades hiding from the ghosts of her past.

Set between London and Cyprus, against a backdrop of war and the partition of countries, Hidden In The Sand follows Alexandra as she meets Jonathan, an English Classical scholar who falls in love with her, and embarks on a journey of remembrance and grief.

Dexter, who is best known for her musical roles in West End shows Viva Forever!, Billy Elliot The Musical and Oliver!, is joined in the cast by Scott Handy (National Theatre’s Love The Sinner), Daphne Alexander (City Stories/Lullaby, St James theatre) and Shakespeare’s Globe regular Yolanda Vazquez.

The production will be directed by playwright Phillips, whose other works include TMA Award-winning play The Rubenstein Kiss.

With this in mind, we ask you to use your judgement in regards to a show’s suitability prior to purchase. However, we are more than happy to help you make a decision.
