Antony Sher stars as Falstaff in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s acclaimed production of Henry IV Part I.

He is joined in the cast by Jasper Britton as Henry IV, Alex Hassell as Prince Hal and Paola Dionisotti as Mistress Quickly.

Henry IV Part I is set at a time when the crown is threatened both by enemies from afar and those closer to home. As the king prepares for war his son, Prince Hal, can be found living it up in the taverns and brothels of the capital partying alongside his friends and ne’er-do-well, the legendary knight Sir John Falstaff. As the fighting begins, Hal is forced to confront his responsibilities.
