Thrilling, enigmatic and destructive, Hedda Gabler is one of theatre’s most provocative characters, a heroine years ahead of her time.

Returning from honeymoon and already bored with her marriage, headstrong Hedda finds herself caught between the brilliant but dissolute Eilert Loevborg and the clutches of the predatory Judge Brack. We can only watch as she embarks on a path of folly that can have only one outcome.

Rosamund Pike plays the title role. The actress has numerous screen credits including Die Another Die, Pride And Prejudice and An Education. She was last seen on stage in the Donmar West End production of Madame De Sade.

Her co-star Tim McInnerny is well known for his roles in Blackadder, Spooks and Inspector George Gently. He recently played Iago in Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe.
