Witness the classic fairy-tale of Hansel & Gretel get a unique twist with Engelbert Humperdinck’s operatic version at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

Hansel & Gretel is the story of a brother and sister, who are left alone in the forest by their mother. Kidnapped by a witch who lives in a house made out of candy and cake, the siblings must work together to outwit her and escape.

A Regent’s Park collaboration with the English National Opera for a second year (last year was The Turn of the Screw), experience the Grimm Brothers’ fairytale anew in this operatic retelling, sung in English.

Conducted by Ben Glassberg, with direction by Open Air Theatre Artistic director Timothy Sheader, you won’t want to miss out on this adaptation of this beloved story.

Hansel & Gretel will be performed at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre between 14 June 2019 – 22 June 2019.
