John Halder is a good man. But John Halder must adapt to survive. How is it possible to be a good person when things are falling apart?

‘You make a deal with yourself one minute, you totally repudiate it the next.’

Written by Cecil Philip Taylor, the play tells the story John Halder, a decent, intelligent, music-loving German professor. As the world faces its Second World War, John finds himself swept along in a movement that crescendos towards an unthinkable finale. Good is a warning for our times.

Directed by Olivier Award-winning Dominic Cooke, Good reimagines one of Britain’s most powerful, political plays with David Tennant returning to the West End. Starring Olivier Award-winning Elliot Levey, with further cast to be announced.

Good is the first stage production for Fictionhouse, a newly formed production company from Dominic Cooke in partnership with executive director Kate Horton, having produced over 100 new plays together, all of which transferred to the West End.

Pertinent and resonant now than it has ever been, it’s well worth snapping up tickets to see this unmissable show.
