About the Show Less...

Gothic fantasy from the Brothers Grimm that has chilling reference for our times. Read More >

Born the unfortunate thirteenth child of a poor peasant, Tod is doomed to die of starvation, if the plague does not get him first, until his enterprising mother enlists the services of a benevolent godfather – Death. Upon coming of age, Tod enters a pact with Death that brings him riches and fame beyond his wildest imaginings. Even so, Tod, like us all, wants just a little more. When Death is your godfather, dare you cheat him?

Set in a plague infested town where Kings still rule, Princesses stare longingly out of high windows and an enchanted forest hold the secrets of life and death, quirky characters and a touch of medieval mayhem breathe life into this grown-up fairy tale of betrayal, greed and the ultimate justice.
