The Compañia Nacional de Teatro’s Henry IV, Part 1 is performed in Mexican Spanish as part of the Globe’s innovative programme Globe To Globe.

Created in 1977, the National Theatre is one of Mexico’s leading cultural institutions. Under Artistic Director Luis de Tavira, the company stages classics, new Mexican plays and contemporary drama from around the world.

This new production of Shakespeare’s great dramatisation of madness in the land and mayhem in the pub, is directed by the electrifying young director Hugo Arrevillaga.

Globe To Globe sees every one of Shakespeare’s 37 plays performed in a different language by an international company. The result is a once in a life time, six week celebration of the incredible breadth of communities and languages that make up London’s vibrant cultural landscape.
