An mix of music, physical theatre and vivid storytelling Song of an Emigrant is based upon research by the company in the villages of Eastern Slovakia, old Ruthenian and Ukrainian songs, letters by Slovak emigrants, and upon the story of Hordubal by Josef Èapek. Read More >

An economic migrant returns to his native village in Slovakia after years in America. But the reality of his return does not in any way resemble his dreams. His place is already taken. His daughter does not recognise him, his wife avoids him and former friends shun him. Although he has returned, he can never really come back and will always be an emigrant.

Farm in the Cave Theatre is an international theatre studio focused on creation, development and research of human expression. It finds inspiration in uncommon musical territories, fragments of culture manifestation, human touch, architecture of space and personal statement.

Contains adult scenes and some nudity. Suitable for ages 15+.
