An economic migrant returns to his native village in Slovakia after years in America. But the reality of his return does not in any way resemble his dreams. His place is already taken. His daughter does not recognise him, his wife avoids him and former friends shun him. Although he has returned, he can never really come back and will always be an emigrant.
