Fela! transfers to Sadler’s Wells following its Olivier Award-nominated run at the National Theatre and a triple Tony Award-winning run on Broadway.

Fela! tells the true story of the legendary Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, whose blend of jazz, funk and African rhythms ignited a generation. Combining dance, theatre and music, Fela! reveals Kuti’s controversial life as an artist and political activist in rousing fashion.

The show stars the Olivier Award-nominated Sahr Ngaujah.

The exuberant show, which features infectious live music and dance, was choreographed, directed and co-written with lyricist Jim Lewis by Bill T. Jones (Spring Awakening).
