While John Faustus, in medieval Germany, is dabbling in the dark arts and preparing to seal his deal with the devil, in contemporary London artists the Chapman brothers are preparing to ‘rectify’ a priceless set of etchings. Both parties are forced to confront the power of the irrevocable act.
