Marti Pellow stars in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Evita at the Dominion Theatre.
Featuring some of the greatest songs in musical theatre including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night Of A Thousand Stars and You Must Love Me, Evita charts the incredible journey of Eva Perón from the slums of Argentina through her tenure as First Lady to Argentine dictator Juan Perón until her tragic death in 1952.
Best known as the lead singer of Scottish pop group Wet Wet Wet, Pellow brings his performance as Marxist revolutionary Che to the West End following his performance in the musical on tour. His other theatre credits include starring roles in productions of Blood Brothers, The Witches Of Eastwick, Jekyll And Hyde and Chicago.
Pellow is joined by his touring co-star Madalena Alberto in the title role. She has previously appeared on the London stage in productions including Zorro at the Garrick Theatre and Aladdin at the Old Vic.
Evita is the first production to open at the Dominion Theatre since the 20-year residency of Queen musical We Will Rock You.
