Ingenious new musical Eugenius! returns to The Other Palace for a second limited run this year, transporting you to a world of comic books and superheroes in that most glorious of decades: the 1980s.

Returning to huge fan clamour on social media, Eugenius! originally started life in a concert production at the London Palladium in June 2016, with an all-star cast including the likes of Davis, David Bedella, Marcus Brigstocke and Amy Lennox. With its quirky mix of ear-worming hits and heart-warming humour, it soon became clear that the show was destined for a fully-staged run.

Written by Ben Adams (of A1 fame) and Chris Wilkins, Eugenius! is a teenage love story at heart, telling the story of Eugene, a teenage boy whose nightly dreams of a distant world of heroes and villains may just be the ticket to him creating his very own comic book movie in Hollywood.

Joined by his best friends ‘Janey’ – who’s mad for him, except for when he has his head inside a comic book – and ‘Feris’, our comic writing genius must discover the true meaning of growing up. To do so, Eugene is forced to find the superhero within, saving the world from both earthbound villains – and possibly those from distant galaxies – and, along the way, falling in love.

The show is produced by legendary Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis and Kevin Wood, with Ian Talbot returning to direct. This second run of Eugenius! will continue to play all of the iconic songs including, Go Eugenius!, Comic Book Kind Of Love, Don’t Shoot For The Stars, Future Is Bright and Hollywood.

With a totally originally score – Adams’ and Wilkins’ homage to all the great sounds of the ‘80s – plus a scintillating script that makes you laugh, cry, and punch the air, this is a show where geeks rule, dreams come true, and everyone finds the superhero inside themselves – you’ve just gotta know where to look.
