Elephant’s Graveyard is based on the tragic true story of a struggling circus and its collision with a small, muddy town in Tennessee, which resulted in the only known lynching of an elephant.

Set in September of 1916, the play combines historical fact and legend, delving into a town’s deep-seated craving for spectacle, violence and revenge.
