Entrapped by her grief and a burning sense of injustice, Elektra battles to find purpose in life after the murder of her father.Will revenge bring her relief and freedom, or will it continue to trap her family in an endless cycle of violence?

The Young Vic’s new Associate Director Carrie Cracknell blends movement, music and text in a haunting exploration of Sophocles’s masterpiece, Elektra, which is presented as a co-production between the Young Vic and Headlong.

Elektra is presented with no press night and no previews, simply opening to an audience on its very first night. It is also completely free for theatreogers to attend, though tickets will still need to me booked thought the theatre’s box office.
