Lazarus Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of Marlowe’s Edward II is the inaugural production of the company’s year-long residency at the Greenwich Theatre.

The King is dead. His son, Edward II, is crowned King. His first act: to call home from banishment his lover, Gaveston.

Lazarus Theatre Company’ acclaimed production of Marlowe’s epic tragedy comes to the stage in this all-new ensemble production, returning after a sell-out London run in 2017, marking 50 years since the start of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales.

The production won huge acclaim when it ran at The Tristan Bates Theatre and The Camden Fringe, after the company’s previous smash hit productions of ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore, Coriolanus and Tamburlaine.

Please note this production contains full male nudity and scenes of a sexual and violent nature.

Visceral, brutal and horrifically messy, this Edward II is an exceptional, must-see production.
