First Performance 20/06/2012
Closing 30/06/2012

Set in 1960s Coventry A Whistle In The Dark tells the story of an Irish family as they adapt aggressively to life in an English city.

A Whistle In The Dark is performed as part of a major retrospective of one of Ireland’s most respected dramatists Tom Murphy.

The season comprises a trilogy of plays that tell an epic tale of Irish emigration from 1846 to 1980. Crossing oceans and spanning decades this sweeping trilogy, with a company of 17 actors, promises to be one of the most important productions of Murphy’s work to date.

Tickets for all three plays – Famine, A Whistle In The Dark and Conversations On A Homecoming – can be purchased at a special price.
