The Country WifeThis Restoration comedy sees the notorious and lascivious Horner concocting a cunning rumour about his own impotence that gains the sympathy of men and eases access to their wives.

The newly-married Pinchwife is desperate to keep his country bride from London’s predatory bachelors. When she meets Horner, events spiral out of control.
