Kerry Ellis leads the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Cats as it returns to the West End for a strictly limited 12 week run at the London Palladium.

Based on Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats by T S Eliot, Cats tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles who gather at the Jellicle Ball for their leader Old Deuteronomy to choose the fellow feline that most deserves to make the journey to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn.

The show’s musical numbers include Memory, The Naming Of Cats, The Rum Tum Tugger, Macavity and The Song Of The Jellicles, with each song telling the story of a different cat as it seeks to prove its case about why it should be the one to make that journey.

Directed by Trevor Nunn with choreography by Gillian Lynne, Cats won the Best New Musical accolade at the Olivier Awards in 1981 and went on to enjoy a 21 year run in the capital. The musical has since been staged in more than 26 countries and seen by more than 50 million people.

Please note, Kerry Ellis will not be performing on 23, 24 or 25 April.
