Bizet’s Carmen is a compelling story of murder, passion and lust. After using her feminine wiles to seduce her prison guard Don Jose, Carmen soon casts him aside in favour of a more glamorous catch. Driven crazy by passion and jealousy, Don Jose takes his revenge in the inevitable and tragic conclusion.

Formed 10 years ago in Moscow, Helikon Opera is renowned for combining novel and daring staging concepts with sparkling vocals.
