Belongings tells the story of a young soldier and the problems she faces when she returns from Afghanistan to a home she no longer recognises or connects with. After proving herself in combat her hardest battle is just beginning, as she navigates family politics, old relationships, and the memory of betrayal.

From the deserts of a modern war to the battleground of a family kitchen, Belongings explores a woman’s quest for identity and a place she can call home.

Belongings transfers to the Trafalgar Studio 2 from the Michael Frayn Space at Hampstead Downstairs.

The drama is comedy writer Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s first full-length play. She has previously written for theatre as part of a team of writers with credits including Dick Whittington And His Cat and Jack And The Beanstalk (Lyric Hammersmith), Platform (Old Vic Tunnels), and Suddenlossofdignity.com and Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover At Christmas (Bush theatre).
