The Royal present a Russian influenced mixed bill.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s Second Piano Concerto, Balanchine’s Ballet Imperial is a tribute to the Imperial Theatre at which he trained in his youth.

Jerome Robbins’s Afternoon Of A Faun is performed to Debussy’s score, and emphasises youthful love and narcissism.

The Firebird, based on a Russian folk tale, is choreographed by Mikhail Fokine to Stravinsky’s score.
