The acclaimed young dancers are on the brink of their professional careers and their performances offer audiences an exceptional programme of Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz Dance. This year’s programme pays homage to the legacy that Ballet Central’s ground breaking work has carved out. Brilliant excerpts from Coppelia and Le Corsaire will sit beside Waltzing Is Hip, the spectacular new jazz piece by the dancer/choreographer, Lucy Potter. Other highlights include the revival of Futility by Sara Matthews and St Paul’s Suite by Michael Corder, both originally created for Ballet Central dancers. Finally to celebrate the company’s milestone birthday, Jenna Lee, one of the UK’s brightest young choreographers, has created a bold new ballet which will debut on tour. Ballet Central will showcase the dance stars of tomorrow in an unforgettable performance.
