Anoushka Shankar is a spellbinding sitar player who fuses East and West using both acoustic and electric instrumentation.

Schooled in the Indian classical music tradition by her father, the great maestro Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar has collaborated with artists including Philip Glass, Sting and Herbie Hancock.

Featuring live music and dancers including Mythili Prakash, Shankar explores music’s ability to tell stories, emulating the moods and colours of Indian epics such as the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.

Anoushka Shankar plays as part of the Svapnagata Indian Festival.
