Verbatim documentary Another World: Losing Our Children To Islamic State, the final show to play at the iconic Temporary Theatre at the National Theatre, is the result of months’ worth of research into the organisation and the warfare engulfing it.

Based on interviews carried out by novelist Gillian Slovo, and developed with and directed by former Tricycle Theatre Artistic Director Nicolas Kent, the production places the infamous group under scrutiny.

What actually is the entity that calls itself Islamic State, dominating headlines worldwide and proliferating terror attacks internationally? What motivates members of Western origin to answer the call of Jihad? And what should we do about it?

Following many months of investigation into Islamic State and of meeting people affected by the organisation, particularly those involved in the fight against it, this piece of theatre sheds light on the secretive group.
