English Touring Opera present a new production of Handel’s tale of twisted love.

Alcina is an enchantress who, on her island, enjoys nothing better than enslaving men as her lovers until she becomes bored with them. Ruggiero is one such man, though his lover will not give up on him easily. Disguises, trickery and a little magic are all employed by the rescue party to try and free the imprisoned lover.

General Director of ETO James Conway directs the production in which Amanda Echalaz plays Alcina and Tamsin Coombs plays her sister Morgana.
