Victor Spinetti plays Albert Einstein in this new dark comedy about the legendary scientist having a very bad day: his house is empty, his cat is missing and he is driving himself mad with the question ‘did I do the right thing?’ When a family friend, newly released from a Chinese POW camp, comes to visit, a warm reunion soon becomes an explosive collision of opposing beliefs on the subjects of evil, the winning of wars, and the construction of the world’s first weapon of mass destruction: the atomic bomb.
Victor Spinetti is one of the UK’s most enduring actors. His many credits include six years with Joan Litlewood’s Theatre Workshop including his Tony-award winning performance in Oh, What A Lovely War! There is only room here to list a smattering of his other extensive credits, which include Expresso Bongo, Candide, The Hostage, Shakespeare’s Henry IV Parts I & Ii, Ben Jonson’s Every Man In His Humour for the RSC and, most recently, the part of the nefarious Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
