A Pupil is a world premiere at the Park Theatre, merging classical concert and new writing to tell a truly touching tale.

In a dilapidated North London bedsit, Simona, a violinist once considered a prodigy , but is now disgraced, prepares to kill herself. The surprise arrival of Ye, an aspiring musician and wealthy heiress, throws her plans into disarray. Together the pair embark on a series of lessons that will test the limits of friendship, music, and success.

Fringe First-winning Bear Trap Theatre celebrate their 8th anniversary with this touching new play by Evening Standard Award-nominated writer Jesse Briton.

The play is directed by Jessica Daniels (Resident Director, Girl From the North Country) and features live classical music and original compositions by Colin Sell (I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue Radio 4). The cast comprises Lucy Sheen, Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Melanie Marshall and Carolyn Backhouse.
