Chickenshed revives Shakespeare's pastoral comedy. Read More >

The course of true love never did run smooth.

Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream shows the truth of this statement through a story of love (requited and unrequited), magic, misunderstanding and mistaken identity.

Egeus wants his daughter Hermia to marry Demetrius, but Hermia loves Lysander. And Helena loves Demetrius. With a blundering Puck, bickering fairies and an amorous Bottom, things become more than a little complicated.

The professional Chickenshed company is joined by 100 students in this revival of one of the Bard’s most popular plays, which promises song, dance, magic and mischief.
