The Young Vic’s acclaimed, award-winning production of A View From The Bridge is to transfer across the Atlantic, playing at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre this autumn.

The production’s Olivier Award-winning leading man Mark Strong will return to lead the cast on Broadway, where the production will run from 21 October to 21 February.

Strong will be joined in the 2015 Best Revival Olivier Award-winning production by fellow original cast members Nicola Walker, Phoebe Fox, Emun Elliott and Michael Gould.

The Ivo Van Hove-directed production, which received a total of seven Olivier Award nominations earlier this year, won plaudits for its audacious, minimalist design and focus when it played both at its original Young Vic home and in the West End.

Arthur Miller’s modern classic is the tale of dock worker Eddie Carbone who, on welcoming his Sicilian cousins to America is unaware of the devastating effect they will have on his life.

The news of A View From The Bridge’s transfer follows swiftly on the heels of the announcement that the Gillian Anderson-led Young Vic production of A Streetcar Named Desire will also cross the Atlantic. The production, for which Anderson received an Olivier Award nomination, will play at St Ann’s Warehouse from 23 April to 22 May.
