Stage and screen star Finty Williams is the latest performer to join the roster of stars appearing as part of a West End gala showcasing the work of emerging composer Michael Bruce.

Williams, the daughter of Dame Judi Dench, joins Julie Atherton, Helena Blackman, Daniel Boys, Mark Evans, Clare Foster, Alex Jessop, Sarah Lark and Paul Spicer in the one-night-only concert, which plays for one night only at the Apollo theatre on 1 November.

Currently appearing in the Peter Hall-directed production of Bedroom Farce at the Rose Theatre, Kingston, Williams, whose credits include Gosford Park, Mrs Brown, Cranford and Born And Bred, makes her West End musical debut in the concert.

Composer Bruce was discovered through the 2007 Notes For The Stage competition which saw his winning song included in the festive Christmas In New York concert which has now become a regular event in the West End’s calendar. Nurtured by the show’s producers, he recently took his musical Ed to the Edinburgh Festival, where it won two Musical Theatre Matters: UK Awards.
