With just under two weeks to go – not that we’re counting! – until the annual free musical theatre extravaganza West End LIVE once again takes over Trafalgar Square, the full star-studded line-up of performances over the weekend has been released.
Organised by Westminster City Council and Official London Theatre with support from the Mayor of London, West End LIVE is the biggest event of its kind in the world, a free musical theatre festival packed with over 50 brilliant performances.
This year, the occasion will once again celebrate the best of London’s musical talent with an unmissable line-up of the capital’s biggest productions, blockbuster star performances, fantastic touring shows and majestic opera from the English National Opera, all over the course of Saturday 24 (11am – 6pm) and Sunday 25 June (12pm – 5pm).
Theatre fans attending on Saturday can look forward to a magical opening with Disney’s Aladdin, followed by a stream of West End greats, with Bat Out Of Hell The Musical closing the day, while Sunday attendees can look forward to a rip-roaring opening courtesy of the School Of Rock – The Musical cast. John Owen-Jones will close the weekend’s proceedings.
