West End charity hit by cyber issues

First Published 21 June 2017, Last Updated 22 June 2017

Over the last few days the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust has been experiencing noticeable technical difficulties with their website and online platforms.

The charity released a video through their social media channels which seems to show their computers having been wiped out of action by displaying an ominous message; “the internet is their battleground.”

Speculating on the recent digital issues, Josh Brown, Marketing and Press Manager for the organisation, commented: “We are looking into all technical issues that we are currently experiencing and hope to have everything resolved as quickly and as smoothly as possible.”

“At present, we are unable to determine the cause or motive behind the cyber hacks, but I think it’s pretty evident that whoever is behind them, wants to have their voice heard loud and clear.”

“We aim to have a further statement prepared and ready to release at 10:30am on Thursday.”

Something tells us we should keep our eyes peeled for tomorrow
