Caroline, Or Change is the celebrated musical written by Angels In America’s Tony Kushner, with a soaring score from the Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home). The show won the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

Directed by Michael Longhurst, this revival played a critically acclaimed run at Chichester Festival Theatre and then the Hampstead Theatre this year, scoring its West End transfer. Official London Theatre described the show at the Hampstead as “quite unlike any other!”

In 1963 Louisiana, revolution is in the air – though not for Caroline, a poorly paid maid who toils endlessly in the Gellman household’s basement. But for Caroline – and eight-year-old Noah Gellman – it’s a fantastical place, with magical laundry and singing washing machines. But Oliver’s about to put the winds of change to the test.

Caroline, Or Change runs at the Playhouse Theatre from 20 November to 9 February 2019.
