Actors may seem to bare it all while on a London stage eight times a week. But that opinion changes once a year when the West End’s cheekiest fundraising event sweeps into town. West End Bares is an annual event which sees stage stars take to the stage to celebrate the saucier side of London’s theatre scene all in the name of charity. And this year, it’ll be taking place on Sunday 28 October at 7pm and 9.30pm at Shaftesbury Theatre. And the theme is… Top Off The Pops.

This year’s stars will perform some of the sexiest tracks from some of the world’s most iconic music artists. And, for the first time ever, there will be a live band on stage to accompany all the sensational singers… and the flesh you’re expecting.

Eva Noblezada (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables) is coming back to the West End following her Broadway debut to open the show. She’ll be performing a song written especially for the event. About taking part in West End Bares, Eva said: “I cannot wait to get on that stage and perform with everyone. This year is something completely different, too. It’s gonna blow the roof off the theatre, and we’re gonna be performing with a live band, with more flesh than ever before. We’re making something pretty special for the opening with a few surprises that I’ve been sworn to secrecy about but you really don’t want to miss it, see you there!”

For the fourth year running, the show will be directed by David Grewcock. It will have choreography from Tommy Wade-Smith (The Book Of Mormon), Racky Plews (Knights Of The Rose), Chris Whittaker (Seussical), Matt Overfield (Motown the Musical), Callum Aylott (Dreamgirls), Matt Krazn (Chicago), Will Lucas (Wicked) and Joanna Goodwin (Sunset Boulevard) with more to be announced.

In its ninth year, West End Bares is raising money for The Make A Difference Trust to fund HIV and AIDS projects that raise awareness, educate and provide care and support in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa. Since its first show in 2010, it’s raised over £250,000.

Tickets for West End Bares are £25-£80 and on sale now. Visit MAD Trust or call the Shaftesbury Theatre booking line 020 7379 5399 to book.
