Webb catches Betwixt!

First Published 31 May 2011, Last Updated 31 May 2011

Steven Webb has joined the cast of comedy musical Betwixt!, which plays at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 26 July to 20 August (press night 28 July).

Webb plays one of two New York flatmates who are catapulted into a strange enchanted world inhabited by heroes and queens, faded daytime TV stars and pregnant princesses, sex-crazed nymphs and cross-dressing mutes.

The young actor is fast becoming a regular on the London stage, with credits including Departure Lounge at Waterloo East theatre, The History Boys in the West End, The Long Road at Soho theatre and Public Property at Trafalgar Studios. He was last seen in the title role of the Lyric Hammersmith’s pantomime Dick Whittington last Christmas.

Joining Webb in Betwixt! is Ashleigh Gray, who has appeared in Wicked, Taboo and Grease, and newcomer Benedict Salter, who makes his West End debut.

Betwixt!, written and directed by Ian MacFarlane, began life at the King’s Head theatre in 2008 before being staged in a concert production at the Ambassadors theatre later that year.
