Vivienne Franzmann will return to the Royal Court Theatre with new play Bodies, directed by Jude Christian and premiering in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, this summer.
Following the success of Pests, Vivienne writes again for the Royal Court Theatre with her new play Bodies. Directed by Jude Christian, with design by Gabriella Slade, Bodies will run in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Wednesday 05 July 2017 – Saturday 12 August 2017, with press night on Tuesday 11 July, 7pm.
The premise of the play surrounds a global transaction that, over nine months, promises to offer ‘a lifetime of happiness’ to all involved. Purchased from Russia. Developed in India. Delivered to the UK. But what – or who?
Extra performances have also been added for the sold-out run of Simon Stephens’ collaboration with Imogen Knight, Nuclear War, a series of suggestions on desire, death and time.
Performances have been added at 9.15pm on 22, 24, 25, 26 and 28 April and 2, 3 and 5 May 2017. The show will run in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Wednesday 19 April 2017 – Saturday 6 May 2017, with press night on Friday 21 April 2017, 7pm.
Finally, tickets are now on sale for B by Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderón, translated by William Gregory and directed by Royal Court Associate Director (International) Sam Pritchard (Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, Thursday 28 September 2017 – Saturday 21 October 2017) and Victory Condition, by Chris Thorpe, directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone (Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, Thursday 05 October 2017 – Saturday 21 October 2017). These plays will run alongside one another in nightly rep, making it possible for the Royal Court to programme more work and offer flexible performance times.
