Video: West End stars talk Kids Week

First Published 18 August 2015, Last Updated 18 August 2015

We’re now halfway through 2015’s Kids Week and thousands of families have already taken advantage of our month-long kids go free celebration of family theatre. Not only have they been flooding through the doors of West End theatres, they’ve been heading on stages and behind the scenes at some of the numerous exclusive events and workshops taking place throughout August.

While we love Kids Week for its undeniably awesome offer – for every adult ticket purchased through the promotion you get one kids’ ticket free and the option to purchase up to another two half-price – we’re possibly most proud of the fact that Kids Week will inspire many youngsters into a lifetime of theatregoing.

Earlier this year we gathered at The Railway Children’s home at the King’s Cross Theatre to meet many of the shows taking part in Kids Week who took part in filming an incredible trailer to launch the event. So, as a special half-time treat, we’ve put together a video of what some of the stars of the trailer had to say about why they, like us, believe theatre is so important for children. Watch above.

If the video has inspired you to take a child to see a show this August, the excellent news is there are still hundreds of Kids Week tickets available. Visit www.kidsweek.co.uk for full details and to book now.
