Who knows what audiences will get when they head to the Apollo Theatre this autumn? Only one thing’s for sure: they won’t get any of the shows that the Showstoppers! gang has been paying tribute to in their latest video.
Why? Because every performance of Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is completely different. And while there may be some references to popular musicals – Sweeney Cod is one of the troupe’s previous titles – the spontaneous show promises audiences members something entirely original, never before seen on any stage in the West End (or anywhere else for that matter!).
Before the show’s first preview this evening, the cast of expert improvisers has been dashing around the West End to give you a taster of where they find their inspiration… of which they must need plenty, if they’re going to produce a new musical every night for the next two months.
