A sneak preview clip has been released of a performance of “Ex-Wives”, the first high energy song from the new British musical Six, that sees the six wives of Henry VIII singing their way out of the history books and into the West End spotlight.

Due to popular demand, the producers of the new show have also announced an extra performance of Six will take place at the Arts Theatre at 10pm on Monday 15 January. Tickets are now on sale via Official London Theatre’s New Year Sale.

Producer Andy Barnes from Global Musicals said: “Kenny Wax and I are very excited to share the first professional recording from the show. ‘Ex-Wives’ is the explosive opening number that introduces us to the six wives for the first time, full of 21st century female attitude and setting the tone for the rest of the show.”

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, and with songs also including Haus Of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head, Six is the pop concert that remixes 500 years of historical heartbreak into one hour of 21st century sass. If you thought the show would be all about one man – you thought wrong!

Six, by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, started life with Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017, where it was nominated for the inaugural Musical Theatre Review Best Musical Award. In an all-new production, the show will have its professional premiere at the Arts Theatre in London on 18 December, 8, 15 and 22 January.
