Couldn’t get tickets for True West? Or maybe you’ve already seen it, absolutely loved it but don’t have time to see it again? Whichever of these two categories you fall into, you’re going to be very excited about this news.
True West, which will close in a few weeks, will have an audio version globally released in April. So you’ll be able to live, or relive the experience of this critically acclaimed show as many times as you like!
The True West audio will have the dulcet tones of the current cast, including its leads, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Johnny Flynn (Beast, Genius, Lovesick). The audio will be directed by Olivier-nominated Matthew Dunster, who also directed the stage production, and featuring music composed by Joe Zeitlin and Johnny Flynn for the stage production.

Set in the searing heat of the Californian desert, True West is all about two competitive brothers, Austin (Kit) and Lee (Johnny). They’re both working on a film script, and trying to pitch to the same producer, what could possibly go wrong?
The audio release will be created by the world’s largest producer and provider of downloadable audiobooks, Audible. And this isn’t the first time they’ve brought a stage production to people’s headphones either, having previously released audio versions of stage productions starring Billy Crudup, Carey Mulligan, Judith Light, John Lithgow, Patti Smith, Billy Crystal, and more.

The show itself is running at the Vaudeville Theatre until 23 February 2019.
