TKTS offers right royal discount

Namesakes of Britain’s most famous couple, The Queen and Prince Philip, are being offered free tickets at the TKTS ticket booth in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

Sharers of the noble names have the chance to receive a free ticket to a top London show of their choice, just for sharing a majestic moniker.

As it is unlikely there are many theatre fans called The Queen, the first 10 Elizabeths to arrive at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square on Monday 4 June, along with the first 10 Philips, will be able to take their pick from everything TKTS has to offer, absolutely free. They will, of course, have to prove their credentials with the use of a photo ID – stamps will not be accepted.

The TKTS in Leicester Square is the best place to buy your discount theatre tickets on the day and up to one week in advance. Run by the Society of London Theatre, the organisation that represents the producers, owners and managers of 52 major commercial and grant-aided theatres in central London, you can be sure that you are getting a great deal, that your transaction will be safe and secure, and that you will be served by a knowledgeable and passionate theatre fan.

All TKTS customers, whether they share a regal name or not, can take advantage of the TKTS loyalty card throughout the year. Just stamp the card with every ticket purchased and receive a discount once the card is full.
