Theatreland Trail

TKTS & Kids Week unite for family trail

First Published 17 July 2014, Last Updated 28 July 2014

TKTS has teamed up with our annual kids go free promotion Kids Week to create a fun Theatreland Trail for families to enjoy over the month of August.

The trail will guide families around the West End with clever clues and handy hints, quizzing your kids on their theatre knowledge and putting their observation skills to the test for a chance to win £250 of Theatre Tokens.

Families up for the challenge can pick up a clue sheet – along with a copy of our ever useful Official London Theatre Guide – from the TKTS ticket booth in Leicester Square from the beginning of August and get started on their fun-filled adventure around London’s theatre district.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning the prize, which comes with an overnight stay and breakfast at the Park Plaza County Hall London, the completed clue sheet must be returned to our friendly staff at TKTS before 1 September.

Kids Week will kick off on 1 August with a family launch at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. The event will mark the beginning of a whole of month of incredible theatrical fun for families when a child aged 16 or under can go free to an amazing selection of London shows with every full paying adult.

Alongside the kids go free ticket initiative, there are also a host of activities for children to get involved in throughout the summer. Children aged 15 and older can take part in a directing workshop with 1984 and learn the basics of puppetry with Avenue Q, ages 13 and older have the chance to sing their heart out to the classic song Summertime with The Gershwins’ Porgy And Bess and take part in a soul music workshop with The Commitments, and there are a host events for the little ones to take part in too.
